10 Most Visited National Parks
Some US National Parks are more popular than others, in part because of their natural beauty and history, but also thanks to their locations.
Following is a list of the 10 most visited National Parks in the United States:
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, North Carolina and Tennessee
Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
Yosemite National Park, California
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana
Olympic National Park, Washington
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Zion National Park, Utah
Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio
Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming (just 10 miles from Yellowstone National Park)
Acadia National Park, Maine
Great Smoky Mountains National Park receives more than 9 million visits per year, followed by Grand Canyon National Park, which gets more than 4 million visits per year. Compare these figures to Kobuk Valley National Park in Alaska, which has just 3,000 visits per year.
